Recent advances of our NINJASCRIPT VanillaGuard system allow for non-op commands, and with that possibility comes a new rank: Moderator! Moderators have less priveleges than regular Admins, but the requirements are less strict. A one time donation of $10 or more allows you to apply for moderator, and as long as you have a relatively clean history here at GFF you will probalby get it. Regular Supporters can join the server, even when it's full! Tired of waiting in line and spamming the "Refresh" button to get on the GFF Server? Become a Regular Supporter for just $5 per month and you can join the server even when it's full! When a Premium Member tries to join the GFF Free server when it is full, a non Premium member will be selected at random to be kicked allowing you to join. Click Here for more information.

We have our own dedicated server hardware, not a paid subscription to a hosting group, which means that problems and crashes are handled very quickly, and the admins have more technical knowledge of their server than most. The admin has the option of administering the server remotely via Android SSH client, so even when none of the mods are available and nobody is in the building, someone is always available to take care of business. This means less downtime and more getting wrecked by creepers. As of right now, our uptime is around 98%

Organized PVP tournaments! If you are into pvp, this is huge for you! Here at the GFF Server, we have a dedicated PVP tournament-only system, complete with a list of first-person-shooter style maps! The system itself is still a work in progress, but it will very shortly be the pinnacle of minecraft PVP competition. Let the games begin!

Happy New Year everyone! We finally took down the christmas tree, and added a line of signs on the edge of the auto restart area so you know exactly where it ends. On another note I have released the NINJASCRIPT system I have been developing for use by anyone. If you want to run a pure vanilla server safe from spammers and crashes, you can download the self installing system at www.gffserver.com/free. The download link is at the bottom of the page.

We have finally fixed the crash exploit! The server is no longer vulnerable to hackers crashing it randomly, so your play experience will not be interrupted like it used to. Also, we now have reserved slots available! Click here to reserve your slot, or to apply for admin, if you think you have what it takes to run a vanilla server!

The wrapper scripts have been updated again, and while we still haven't found a way to prevent hackers from crashing the server occasoinally, you will no longer lose your inventory when they do. Now crashes are an annoying inconvenience rather than a rage inducing disaster.

Because of the MASSIVE increase in our popularity, we have decided to upgrade again. The server will eventually be moved to an offsite host to increase the slots and as part of that process we will be changing the ip for the GFF Server to free.gffserver.com. Keep an eye out for changes in address, since we will probably be changing the port also.

WE HAVE CAPES! You can now install the GFF Capes Mod and see all of the capes our members have! Current members of the GFF Server get a Gold GFF Cape, and we can make custom capes too! Check it out!

The Whitelist Server has moved! For real this time! You can access it through the ip whitelist.gffserver.com. The new machine is hooked up and ready to roll, so the GFF Whitelist Server will be moving to it a little later today. Let the lag vanish!

Well, the transition wasn't as smooth as it should have been, and the whitelist server is still at www.gffserver.com:25569 for now. It will most likely start using the new connection later tonight, depending on how things go. I want to make sure I have all the kinks worked out before I officially make the switch.
